Join up with me,
So you can see,
Hell's dark brew a-bleeding.
Breathe out the air,
All's foul and fair, when
The Siren's Song is pleading.

so i suppose that its about damn time to post about my birthday. i mean, its only...what? 10 days overdue?

i'm sorry to say that i'll have to skip over the majority of that day, given that it was an uneventful day in the life of an emory student, but things did get interesting that evening. the amazing r&b and rap group, The Roots, came and performed at Emory for free. So, to celebrate, i went along with a couple other people in a celabratory mood to go...climb trees. Not climbing in a classical sense, but in a cronic sense. Afterwards we were going to go order food (climbing trees makes you hungry), when to our delight we found that along with the free show Emory was giving out free Pizza Hut pizza and Krispy Kreme doughnuts as part of the event.

It

was

bliss....

72g of saturated, unsaturated, and patially hydrogenated fatty-ass BLISS.

and then there was the show. in case some of you aren't familiar with The Roots, not only are they are a kick ass group as a whole, but they're also a bunch of extremely talented solo artists. that being so, most of the night was devoted to some awesome solo jams. other than that, it was a tuesday evening with a calc quiz the next day, so i called it a night and headed back. nonetheless, it was great time.

thanksgiving is coming up...hope to see all you fools then. we should have some sort of party together when we get back, like the night of Sat. the 27th.

i'm having all sorts of inspirational classes, from both philosophy and my suffering in buddhism and christianity, and i'm pretty sure i've found god, but i could be wrong and its just the burger i ate for lunch.

"Hey Peter, name a religion!"
"...Brazil..."
